COMO MI PADRE

MY FATHER PAST AWAY WEDNESDAY APRIL 7 OF 2010 AFTER BEING KILLED WHILE PROTECTING MY MOM AND SISTER IN A ROBBERY, DAD I KNOW YOU ARE SERVING A MISSION WITH ME RIGHT NOW, ITS AN HONOR TO HAVE YOU WITH ME CONSTANTLY, I PROMISE YOU I WILL DO MY BEST. BUT IN THE MEAN TIME I WILL TRY MY HARDEST TO BE MY BEST AND COME BACK TO YOU AGAIN. THIS IS A POEM I WROTE FOR HIM ON HIS LAST BDAY IN 2009.

I LOVE YOU DAD AND TILL WE MEET AGAIN IN OUR HEAVENLY FATHERS KINGDOM.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss and so proud of you for being strong in this time of deepest sorrow. If you think your mom might like the support of other missionary moms (although none of us have probably gone through anything like what she is experiencing now) you might suggest the missionary mom group to her - it is really a great support for those of us who have missionaries in the field.
The site is www.ldsmissionarymoms.com/.

Please give her and the rest of your family all of my love and sympathy.

I am the mother of Elder Jack Barton. His first area was Coihueco and you were one of his leaders when he arrived Oct. 2009. I found your blog and have been looking in ever since. It was such a blessing to me to see your blog and your pictures, especially in the beginning when E. Barton was in your same area. I am soooo very sorry to hear of your Dad's tragic passing. We will keep you and your family in our prayers. May the Lord's richest blessings be upon you as you continue to serve and deal with this trial. May the Comforter be with you and your family also at this difficult time.
God bless!!

I too am sorry to read about your father. I can't imagine the heartache. Are your mother and sister okay? My son, Elder Nathaniel Keller is serving in Tome with Elder Pitcher. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

Hola Salomon:
This is el Grindio, Elder Dave Martinez. I just want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My life will be forever blessed because of the influence your Dad and Mom had on me as a missionary some 15 years ago. I love your father and your entire family like my own. Your Mom's faith and strength continue to inspire me. I know your dad is so proud of where you are and what you are doing. I pray that the Lord will bless you during this time. If there is ever anything I can do for you or your family please let me know. May God bless you!

I don't know your family, but just read the story of your dad's killing. I'm sorry that it happened and pray that your family can find peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. You are a remarkable young man, and I know your Dad is so proud of you. Thank you for setting such a wonderful example, to your fellow missionaries, to your family, and to the children you will some day have. It is indeed, a great Circle of Life. May Heavenly Father continue to bless you and your Mother and other family members.
